What time should I arrive?
We currently offer Sunday services for Coldwater at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, & 6pm. Gadsden services begin at 11:00 am. At Coldwater, Our Connection will open at 7:00 am. We encourage you to come early, grab a cup of coffee, and get to know someone. Give yourself at least 10-15 minutes before service time to park, come in, and get comfortable. Our band starts playing around five minutes before the service starts. The doors to the Sanctuary will close promptly 15 minutes after the start of service to eliminate distractions during the service.
What should I wear?
Whatever you’d like. Most of us just wear casual, comfortable clothes. If you’d like to dress up a bit, that’s fine too. You’ll find a variety of different styles in the service and around campus.
What do you have for children?
During all our services, we have Kidz Alive for Nursery - 6th grade. The classes and services are designed just for them. There is a quick check-in process that will give you confidence that your children are safe. For more info on Kidz Alive, click here.
Do you recognize first-time visitors in the service?
Don’t worry, we’re not going to call you out in the service or ask you to stand up and introduce yourself. We want you to be completely comfortable while you’re with us. The only thing we ask you to do is fill out a Connection Card. This will let you receive a note from Pastor Kent and a video via e-mail. We promise we won’t randomly show up at your house. If you’d like, we’d also love to have you visit our hospitality room so we can get to know you and answer any questions you may have. We want you to feel welcome at Word Alive!
How do I give?
You may have noticed that we don’t pass a plate at Word Alive. Giving is a biblical principle that works just like God promises it will. It’s a powerful step of faith, but we believe giving should be something you want to do, not an obligation. For this reason, we have black boxes set up around the sanctuary and Grand Central. Just drop your tithe or offering in at your convenience. If you need help finding one, just ask at Grand Central.
How do I get involved?
There is a lot going on at Word Alive—so much that it can be a little overwhelming for a newcomer. If you’re looking for a place to connect, the best thing you can possibly do is attend a Connect 4 meeting. We have one the first week of every month. There you can learn everything you want to know about Word Alive, share a meal with our staff, and get information on all our ministries. We know there’s a place for you here, and the Connect 4 Meeting will give you all the information you need to find it. It’s completely free, but we do ask that you register using your Connection Card so that we can be prepared.
