  1. Q. Who compiles and approves our budget?
    A. Our budget is compiled by our staff and presented for approval each year to our board of directors.
     
  2. Q. Does Word Alive present this information to the congregation?
    A. Yes. Each year our financial information is presented to the congregation at a special called meeting.   Every church member is encouraged to attend the meeting and ask any questions they might have concerning our financial information.  
  1. Q. How do we determine senior staff compensation?
    A. Our board of directors determines the compensation levels of senior staff. When determining senior staff salary levels the board of directors considers other comparable churches (congregation size and budget) as well as our financial condition and priorities that have been established.      
  1. Q. How much does Kent make?
    A. Kent’s annual salary is $117,000. Kent’s salary and benefits are reviewed and then submitted for approval to our board of directors by the compensation committee. The compensation committee considers pastor salaries of churches our size in membership, budget, our financial health and priorities that have been established as well as the demands of his position.
