I am very excited about this new spiritual season: The month of Nissan.

This month prepares us to step into God’s purposes and blessings at Passover. How do we prepare?

• We worship. We let our praise be heard.
• We line up our mouths with God’s Word. We speak the blessings and the Word of God.
• We believe for redemption afresh as we remember Passover and the crucifixion.
• We give of our First Fruits generously.

This new season is a great opportunity to begin fresh.

On March 23 we will enter into a new month on God’s calendar: The month of Nissan.

Not only is this a new month, but it’s also the beginning of a whole new spiritual year and a new season: Spring! This month is the month of God’s Redemption, Passover and Resurrection Sunday.

The word “Nissan” comes from the Hebrew root word “Ness,” meaning miracles. Spring itself is a testimony to God’s heart because when everything around us looks dead, the miracle of Spring is happening. It’s about to burst forth as if the Earth is being redeemed before our very eyes!

I think about Isaiah 43:19. “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
